It's all too easy to get bogged down in the constant pessimism surrounding markets, and of course, Brexit (today was meant to be the day that Article 50 was triggered and the UK officially left the EU), but in order to make money as an investorin the long run, it more often pays to be optimistic.
Putting the chaos of the politics to one side, let's focus in on markets. Six months ago people had condemned equities to collapse, with recession calls the clear consensus view. It felt to many that the likes of Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google (FAANG) would never bounce, and that other equities were therefore 'heading to zero'… Fast forward to the present day, and the S&P 500 is up double digits year-to-date, with some recovery (though mixed) in the aforementioned FAANG stocks, but many other equities (including Microsoft and Heineken, as featured in our Trading Club) are at all-time highs.

They say that ‘hope springs eternal', but you still need to trade with a process in order to make consistent returns as an investor. Thats exactly what we demonstrate with our Checklists week-in and week-out at our Trading Club, sharing these high quality ideas with our premium members in real time. There are no BS ‘systems’ that have been backtested to fit irrelevant historic examples, or hiding from the occasional but inevitable surprises that the market seems to throw up – just an honest and proven approach that we employ and teach to students of the Academy.
This week, we have just released our new Monthly Checklist Report for April, covering all the major markets including equities, currencies, crude oil and gold. As readers of this blog will know, the ideas we have been generating from this recently are no ‘flash in the pan’. With our proven process, you too can feel confident and prepared to take on other traders in the market with the balance of information in your favour.
Here is one of my favourite setups for the coming month, in gold. With the Checklist at -3, and the technicals looking like they may be rolling over, this is certainly a setup that I have on my watchlist this month.
Of course, there are also a host of other ideas in the report, which features 10 Checklists in total. If you would like to join us for our full analysis including new insights each week, or learn from the ground up with online tuition from Lex in our MDT online course, then reach out to us and take your financial knowledge to the next level right away!
PS Don’t forget, the start of the new Tax Year in the UK is next week, so be sure to consult your financial advisor and top up your ISA and/or SIPP accounts before the deadline!
Have a great weekend,
